RESUMO

Inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite is an important photovoltaic material due to its suitable band gap and high chemical stability. However, it is a challenge to grow high-quality CsPbI3 perovskite because the stability of perovskite phase is low and is sensitive to solvent. So far, most of CsPbI3 perovskites in high-performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs) were prepared from N,N-dimethylformamide, a highly toxic solvent, and no successful case has been reported for dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), which is environmentally-friendly with considerably higher complexation capability. Herein, we reveal that forming DMSO-based adduct is the main cause for limiting the quality of CsPbI3 perovskite from DMSO-based solutions, which would inhibit the formation of DMAPbI3 (DMA = dimethylammonium, (CH3)2NH2+) intermediate. Then, by introducing a vacuum treatment, DMSO molecules could be efficiently extracted from the adduct to induce the formation of DMAPbI3 intermediate. After annealing, the intermediate is transitioned to the CsPbI3 perovskite with enhanced crystallinity, high orientation, low defect density, and high uniformity. By using the CsPbI3 perovskite as a light absorber, the PSCs based on carbon electrode (C-PSCs) achieve an efficiency of 16.7%, a new record for inorganic C-PSCs.

RESUMO

Electronic doping is applied to tailor the electrical and optoelectronic properties of semiconductors, which have been widely adopted in information and clean energy technologies, like integrated circuit fabrication and PVs. Though this concept has prevailed in conventional PVs, it has achieved limited success in the new-generation PV materials, particularly in halide perovskites, owing to their soft lattice nature and self-compensation by intrinsic defects. In this review, we summarize the evolution of the theoretical understanding and strategies of electronic doping from Si-based photovoltaics to thin-film technologies, e.g., GaAs, CdTe and Cu(In,Ga)Se2, and also cover the emerging PVs including halide perovskites and organic solar cells. We focus on the chemical approaches to electronic doping, emphasizing various chemical interactions/bonding throughout materials synthesis/modification to device fabrication/operation. Furthermore, we propose new classifications and models of electronic doping based on the physical and chemical properties of dopants, in the context of solid-state chemistry, which inspires further development of optoelectronics based on perovskites and other hybrid materials. Finally, we outline the effects of electronic doping in semiconducting materials and highlight the challenges that need to be overcome for reliable and controllable doping.

RESUMO

The mixtures of cations and anions used in hybrid halide perovskites for high-performance solar cells often undergo element and phase segregation, which limits device lifetime. We adapted Schelling's model of segregation to study individual cation migration and found that the initial film inhomogeneity accelerates materials degradation. We fabricated perovskite films (FA1-xCsxPbI3; where FA is formamidinium) through the addition of selenophene, which led to homogeneous cation distribution that retarded cation aggregation during materials processing and device operation. The resultant devices achieved enhanced efficiency and retained >91% of their initial efficiency after 3190 hours at the maximum power point under 1 sun illumination. We also observe prolonged operational lifetime in devices with initially homogeneous FACsPb(Br0.13I0.87)3 absorbers.

RESUMO

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have become a promising candidate for the next-generation photovoltaic technologies. As an essential element for high-efficiency PSCs however, the heavy metal Pb is soluble in water, causing a serious threat to the environment and human health. Due to the weak ionic bonding in three-dimensional (3D) perovskites, drastic structure decomposition occurs when immersing the perovskite film in water, which accelerates the Pb leakage. By introducing the chemically stable Dion-Jacobson (DJ) 2D perovskite at the 3D perovskite surface, the film dissolution is significantly slowed down, which retards lead leakage. As a result, the Pb contamination is dramatically reduced under various extreme conditions. In addition, the PSCs device deliver a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 23.6 % and retain over 95 % of their initial PCE after the maximum power point tracking for over 1100 h.

RESUMO

A method was established for the determination of eight vitamins E (α-, ß-, γ-, δ-tocopherol and α-, ß-, γ-, δ-tocotrienol) in vegetable oils using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The targets were extracted with methanol, and analyzed by GC-MS in the selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode after concentration to a constant volume, and quantified using the external standard method. Baseline separation were achieved for all the target compounds. The linearities of all the compounds were between 0.01 and 1 mg/L. The limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) were in the range of 0.03-0.25 mg/kg and 0.10-0.83 mg/kg, respectively. The average recoveries of all the targets in sesame oil samples were between 87.5% and 107.4% at three spiked levels (10, 50, and 250 mg/kg), and the RSDs were all less than 7.5%. The tocopherols and tocotrienols contents in sesame oil samples and in six lower-price vegetable oils (soybean, rapeseed, sunflower, peanut, corn and palm oils) were determined by the above mentioned method. The results showed that the vitamin E profiles of sesame oil were significantly different from those of the other six vegetable oils. Therefore, vitamin E can be used as a discriminating parameter for detecting the adulteration of sesame.
